Insurance pricing is based traditionally on three factors: Value of home, location of home, and the loss history of the owner.  Our carrier has a “fourth” factor.  That factor has dramatically reduced the cost of insurance and has transformed insurance pricing.

The fourth factor is the applicant’s credit.  We do not require social security numbers in most cases.  The applicant’s name, birth date, and address is sufficient 90% of the time. (Credit card companies send notices “you have been pre-approved”.  This pre-approval is based on the same type of credit report our carrier uses.)
